At the end of her mandate, the OSCE Mission Head in Moldova reaffirms the organization's commitment to regional peace

International partners will continue to support the Transnistrian settlement process “in a spirit of responsibility, solidarity, and mutual respect”. This message was conveyed by Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, as she concluded her mandate during a farewell meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi.
During the discussions, the officials highlighted the OSCE Mission’s contribution to maintaining peace and facilitating dialogue between Chișinău and Tiraspol amid significant regional challenges, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Keiderling welcomed Chișinău’s openness and commitment to promoting lasting peace.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi thanked the ambassador for her close cooperation and active involvement in promoting stability and human rights in the Republic of Moldova.
He reiterated the importance of continued effective cooperation with the OSCE Mission, including through concrete projects that bring together communities on both sides of the Nistru and help build trust and stability.
Both the OSCE Mission Head and Deputy Prime Minister Popșoi emphasized the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue and ongoing cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the OSCE Mission in support of regional peace and stability.
