Messi, unusual gifts for teammates

Lionel Messi's impressive gesture! The Argentinian star gave a special gift to his Argentina team-mates and members of the coaching staff, with whom he won the World Cup in Qatar in December.

Messi, captain of the Albiceleste, presented them with a personalised 24-carat gold phone as a token of gratitude for helping him to realise his great dream of becoming world champion.

Each phone is engraved with the logo of the Argentine Football Federation, the name of each player and the words "World Cup Champions 2022". The phone company personally delivered the 35 phones to Messi in Paris.

The total cost of Messi's "golden gift" was €197,000, with each phone costing around €5,000.
