David Popovici makes history with double world champion title

Romanian swimmer David Popovici has once again demonstrated his global dominance.
The 20-year-old clinched the gold medal in the 100-meter freestyle at the World Aquatics Championships, which are currently underway in Singapore.
In the final, Popovici finished the race in 46.51 seconds. He outpaced American Jack Alexy, who took silver, and Australian Kyle Chalmers, who took bronze. Alexy recorded a time of 46.92 seconds, while Chalmers clocked 47.17 seconds.
Romania's David Popovici is the first swimmer in history to become a two-time world champion in both the 100-meter and 200-meter freestyle.
