The "Red Eagles" have eliminated the Montenegrin club, Budućnost Podgorica, from the competition.

After the two teams played out a goalless draw in the first leg in Montenegro, Milsami secured a dramatic 2-1 victory at home.

At the end of the first half, the visiting team missed a penalty. Emil Tîmbur saved it, but the referee ordered a retake of the spot-kick. Marko Milicković stepped up again, but Tîmbur proved to be impervious once more.

Nevertheless, Budućnost scored shortly after the teams returned from the locker room. Ivan Bojović found the net in the 55th minute. Orhei never let their guard down, equalizing 10 minutes later through Vasile Jardan. Then, in extra time, the Moldovan champions delivered the knockout blow. Captain Radu Gînsari scored the winning goal, and with it their qualification, with a stunning strike.

As a result, the Orhei-based team has qualified for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, where they will face San Marino's AC Virtus. The first leg will be played in Orhei on August 7, with the return leg scheduled for a week later.
