Yellow Code warning issued by meteorologists

The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) issued a Code Yellow heatwave warning, which is in effect for today and tomorrow, August 3-4. Meteorologists predict that the heatwave will impact the southern and central regions of the Republic of Moldova, with maximum temperatures expected to reach between 33°C and 35°C.
The warning issued on Sunday, August 3, took effect at 09:30 and targets the areas marked in yellow on the map published by SHS.

Authorities recommend that people avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, stay adequately hydrated, and wear light-colored clothing. It's also important to pay special attention to children, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions.
