Kindergarten Nb. 10 in the city of Râșcani is getting ready to open new nursery groups for children this fall. These groups will accept children as young as six months old, making this institution the first in the district to offer such services. Currently, renovation work is underway to ensure that the little ones will have all the necessary comfortable conditions.

The workers are currently working at a fast pace to complete all renovations by the end of summer.

"We are preparing the surfaces for plastering, gluing the mesh, grouting, and painting. We are doing all this work to finish quickly so that the children can return to the kindergarten as soon as possible," one worker stated.

"Our efforts have intensified because September 1 is approaching, and we want the children to be able to return immediately," another added.

The kindergarten, which opened in 1990, has not undergone major repairs since its inception.

"Until now, the group spaces did not meet school hygiene standards; it was cold. The conditions in the restrooms and cafeterias were inadequate, and the children lacked access to hot water and warm floors. We have renovated all the restrooms and kitchens in the facility," said Valentina Moscalu, the director of the kindergarten, in an interview with Moldova 1.

Currently, the kindergarten serves 175 children.

"About ten years ago, there was a school here. Now we have the opportunity to open around three nursery groups, and this will be the only kindergarten in the district that can enroll babies from six months old," said Victor Bogatico, the mayor of Râșcani.

The budget for the renovation work is approximately ten million lei, funded by the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Government.
