Moldova secures visa-free travel to UAE

Moldovan citizens will soon be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates without a visa.
This will be made possible by a document that Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to sign in Abu Dhabi on Monday, August 4.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit's agenda includes signing a Memorandum of Understanding to abolish the visa regime for holders of ordinary passports between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
In addition, Mihai Popșoi will also have a meeting with representatives of Air Arabia, one of the most important low-cost airlines in the region.
In Abu Dhabi, the Chișinău official is set to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who also serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other high-ranking Emirati officials.
"The discussions will cover various aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including deepening political dialogue, strengthening the legal framework, attracting investments, expanding trade, and other current topics on the regional and international agenda," the Chișinău diplomacy reported.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart to mark the 30th anniversary in 2025 of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
