Moldova names new ambassadors, public institution leaders

One ambassador was recalled from office, and a new ambassador was appointed to represent the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Sweden. Additionally, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices has a new director. These appointments were approved by the Government on Wednesday, August 6.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi announced personnel changes among the ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova. The decision to recall Ana Taban from her position as ambassador to India was approved. At the same time, Viorel Ursu was appointed as ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden. Mihail Barbulat, the representative of the Republic of Moldova to the Danube Commission, will represent the country in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in Croatia, while also residing in Budapest, where he currently holds the mandate of ambassador to Hungary.
Minister of Internal Affairs Daniela Misail-Nichitin proposed the appointment of Victoria Madan as the head of the Institutional Management Directorate of the Material Reserves Agency.
"Victoria Madan has over 10 years of experience in managing state material reserves and mobilization. In the past four years, she managed the institutional framework of the agency during multiple crises that the state has faced. She holds a degree in Law and a master's degree in financial and fiscal law," the minister stated.
Veaceslav Șipitca, Secretary of State for Urban Planning at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, provided updates about changes within the Civil Aeronautics Authority. Vasile Șaramet was dismissed from his position at his own request, effective August 6. His successor, Andrei Ceban, the current deputy director, will take over starting August 7.
"In the coming period, Andrei Ceban will focus on consolidating the regulatory framework in civil aviation, enhancing surveillance, aeronautical safety, and security, modernizing certification and control processes, and developing international cooperation," emphasized Veaceslav Șipitca.
Additionally, Iuliana Albu was appointed as the Director General of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices. This proposal was put forth by Roman Cazan, Deputy Secretary General of the Government.
"Shortly, Iuliana Albu will continue efforts to strengthen the agency's activities through concrete measures aimed at improving the supply of medicines, enhancing the pharmaceutical system, ensuring the quality of market products, and ensuring compliance with legal norms by economic agents in the field. She will also prioritize the modernization of authorization processes and the development of the information system related to medicines, benefiting both the health system and citizens," noted Roman Cazan.
The members of the Government unanimously approved all appointments.
