Moldova grants over 81 million lei in electricity compensation to entrepreneurs

Between January and July of this year, 721 entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova received a total of 81.1 million lei in electricity compensation.

Compensations were granted under the Compensation Program launched by the Government, with financial support from the European Union.

During this period, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development approved an additional 1,619 applications for electricity compensations.

The program will run until the end of 2025, and entrepreneurs can submit applications exclusively online through either the EVO application or the MCabinet platform.

In February of this year, the Government committed to compensating economic agents for 50% of the increase in electricity tariffs, which were approved at the beginning of 2025.

Additionally, until December 2025, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will also benefit from electricity compensations. Specifically, families in the central and southern regions of the Republic of Moldova will pay a rate of 2 lei 34 bani for the first 110 kWh, while those in the northern region will pay 2 lei 84 bani.
