EcoVoucher Program: Over 9,000 vouchers of 6,000 lei issued to beneficiaries

An additional 9,500 vouchers, each worth 6,000 lei, were made available to beneficiaries. This allows citizens to replace their old household appliances with new, energy-efficient models. The vouchers can be redeemed from August 7 to August 31 as part of the EcoVoucher program, according to an announcement from the Public Institution National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED).
The vouchers are available to families with children and households where individuals aged 63 or older reside. Their purpose is to help reduce electricity bills by enabling recipients to replace old, energy-inefficient appliances with modern, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly equipment.
According to CNED, the ecovoucher covers up to 70% of the cost of a new refrigerator or washing machine that has a high energy efficiency rating, with a limit of 6,000 lei.
Vouchers are distributed automatically based on the data registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform. Beneficiaries can only use the voucher during the active session at partner store networks and must recycle an old appliance of the same type.
The program is available nationwide through eight commercial networks, which include over 80 stores. A complete list of these stores and the steps for using the voucher can be found at www.ecovoucher.md or verificarevoucher.cned.gov.md.

The Ecovoucher program is developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with support from the European Union. The current edition, funded by Norway, has a total budget of 7.5 million euros.
Since the program's launch, nearly 30,000 families have successfully purchased new, energy-efficient equipment.
