Sergiu Spoială wins director role at Chișinău airport

Sergiu Spoială, the current interim director of the state-owned enterprise (S.E.) "Chișinău International Airport," has won the competition for the director position, it was announced on Friday, August 8.
In total, 11 people applied for the director position at the S.E. "Chișinău International Airport," but only three were shortlisted for the interview stage: Sergiu Spoială, Roman Podcorîtov, and Anna Erimei.
The three candidates presented their vision for the company's economic and financial development to the S.E. "Chișinău International Airport" Board of Directors and answered questions.
Spoială received the highest score across the two stages of the competition.
"After a cumulative evaluation of scores from both stages, Sergiu Spoială obtained the highest score and was declared the winner of the competition for the director position at the S.E. 'Chișinău International Airport'," the Public Property Agency announced. "The Board of Directors' decision to appoint the winner was adopted unanimously and will be sent to the founder within the specified deadline to begin the process of finalizing the individual employment contract, as required by law."
Sergiu Spoială is 39 years old and was appointed interim director of the S.E. "Chișinău International Airport" in February 2024. He holds a law degree and worked as a lawyer for several years.
