Ukraine opens an International Criminal Court office in Kiev and calls for a special court to try Russian leaders
The opening of an office of the International Criminal Court is being prepared in Kiev, in the context in which the Ukrainian authorities aim to establish a special court to indict Russian leaders for war crimes, announced the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andrii Kostin.

According to the official, the International Criminal Court is currently investigating possible war crimes or crimes against humanity committed during the Russian offensive in Ukraine, but is not mandated to pursue aggression in a broader sense.
Andrii Kostin added during a conference in Lviv that this will "allow the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to more thoroughly investigate the international crimes committed in Ukraine."
We remind you that the Leader of Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelensky, declared that "over 70,000 war crimes" by Russia against Ukrainian citizens were registered in Ukraine.
