CEC: Final day for Moldovans in 10 countries to register for postal voting

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who will be on September 28, the day of the parliamentary elections, on the territory of ten states, have the opportunity to vote by mail.
Eligible Moldovan citizens living in the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand have until Thursday, August 14, to register on the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) platform for mail-in voting.
As of now, 2,329 Moldovans from these countries have informed the electoral authority of their intention to vote by mail in the upcoming parliamentary elections in September.
The highest number of registrations were from the USA, with 1,268 voters, followed by Canada with 617 and Sweden with 148.

In the presidential elections and the referendum on European integration held last fall, more than 1,300 Moldovans from six countries cast their votes by mail. On May 29, Parliament expanded the list of countries from which Moldovans can vote by mail in the upcoming fall elections, increasing the number from six to ten.
The parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova are scheduled for September 28, 2025.
