Lugansk region - Kreminna and Bilohorivka, the most troublesome front areas
The head of the Lugansk Regional Military Administration, Sergei Gaidai, says that the situation in all frontline areas of the region remains quite complicated, but fully controlled by the Ukrainian Defence Forces. "The most difficult areas are Kreminna and Bilohorivka.
The Russian occupation troops have concentrated all their efforts on Kreminna" - the official said in an intervention broadcast on Saturday evening.
Gaidai noted that the Russians are trying to break through Ukrainian defences and are constantly sending heavy equipment and large numbers of infantrymen.
"Bilohorivka is constantly under fire, but our defenders repel the offensive waves from there" - the head of Lugansk region pointed out.
Gaidai said the Russians are trying to change their tactics, but they are not succeeding either in breaking the Ukrainian defences or in advancing.
Ukrainian forces have liquidated 930 Russian servicemen in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of occupants killed on the frontline since the start of the war to 153,120 - according to a report published Sunday by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian troops have also shot down 302 Russian planes and 289 helicopters since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. Also destroyed were 3,414 (+5) Russian Army tanks, 6,692 (+9) armoured vehicles, 2,426 (+1) artillery systems, 248 (+1) air defence systems, 488 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 5,299 (+10) fuel transport vehicles and tankers, 18 ships, 2,071 (+5) drones, 873 cruise missiles and special technology (232 units).
