Authorities are warning the public not to click on links that promise spectacular earnings, as they are actually new scams generated with the help of bots.

Adults are urged to exercise increased caution, especially since teenagers are the most vulnerable group to this type of fraud. If you encounter a suspicious situation, it's recommended to immediately block the contacts sending such “offers.”

A warning signal was issued by the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF), which states that the new scams are spreading quickly through messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram and are being promoted on social media.

According to the institution, scammers create fake "investment" groups where they simulate intense activity using automated trading software.

In these groups, fake "experts" promise quick profits from trades, including cryptocurrencies, and urge participants to recruit new members in exchange for "rewards."

Victims are tricked into transferring money to fictitious "trading accounts," where fake profits are displayed to gain their trust. However, when they try to withdraw the funds, they are asked to pay various fabricated fees.

The activity in these groups is largely bot-generated, and the method of inviting friends and family helps expand the scheme.

The CNPF emphasizes that these structures operate as financial pyramid schemes, where earnings are paid from the money of new members and not from real economic activities. Ultimately, most participants lose their invested funds.

The institution draws attention to the fact that teenagers are the most vulnerable group, often lured by promises of quick profits and rewards.

The CNPF recommends that parents closely monitor their children's online activity and encourage financial literacy.

To avoid these frauds, the CNPF advises the public to always check for the authorization of investment firms, to not disclose personal or financial information via messaging apps, and to exercise extreme caution regarding offers of quick earnings.

Any suspicious case should be reported to the institution, and dubious contacts should be blocked immediately.

For additional information and to report suspicious activities, the public is encouraged to contact the CNPF at +373 22 85 95 95 or visit cnpf.md.
