Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on his Telegram account that he had a "long and substantive" discussion with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The meeting began one-on-one and later included European leaders. The discussion lasted about an hour and a half, with an hour dedicated solely to the two heads of state.

"Ukraine once again confirms its readiness to work as productively as possible for peace. President Trump informed me about his meeting with the Russian leadership and the main points of the discussion. It's important that America's strength is influencing the development of the situation," Zelenskyy stated.

The Kyiv leader welcomed Trump's proposal to organize a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia, emphasizing that "key issues can be discussed at the leader level, and this format is suitable for that."

Zelenskyy said he will discuss the details of "ending the killings and the war" with Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, thanking him for the invitation.

He also stressed the importance of involving Europeans "at all stages" to ensure reliable security guarantees, alongside the United States.
