Teen vandalizes dozens of public goods in Orhei over unrequited love

The young man damaged 28 traffic signs and defaced the walls of a stadium as well as two monuments in a park. The estimated cost of the damages is around 40,000 lei. During police questioning, the teenager explained that his actions were driven by the pain of unrequited love.
“- I wanted the young lady to notice that the messages were written by me when she goes to work or out to dinner. I admit my guilt, and I regret what I did,” the young man explained.
“Why did you do it?”
“I drew because I was heartbroken. I wanted the person to know that I love her.”
As a result of his actions, the teenager faces a fine of over 2,000 lei, up to 18 days of unpaid community service, or even a prison sentence of up to three years.
