Moldova Youth Forum 2025 gathers over 400 active community participants

Over 400 young people aged 18 to 30 from across the country recently participated in the Moldova Youth Forum. Now in its fourth edition, this forum is one of the most important national platforms dedicated to engaging youth in their communities. Participants took part in thematic discussions and workshops on a variety of topics, including civic participation, education, European integration, and combating disinformation.

“We are a group of seven people from Cahul, and we have high expectations for this forum. Here, we have 500 young individuals with diverse ideas, visions, and aspirations for a prosperous future in the Republic of Moldova, especially in the context of its potential accession to the European Union.
We believe that young people are important, and our voices matter for our country. We want to be heard by others.”
At the event, several public associations presented various initiatives.
The National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM) organized a simulation of the voting process. Some young attendees brought ballots and stamps to replicate the electoral process. The goal of this initiative is to encourage young people to participate in the voting process actively.
“This is a campaign we developed. This is already the third year that we have been promoting voting among young people, regardless of their political preferences. We support the participation of young individuals at the polls,” stated Vasile Cocîrla, a board member of CNTM.

"We aim to discover, support, and contribute to the development of new content creators across various regions, not just in Chisinau, so that we can cultivate voices from all over the Republic of Moldova," says Mihaela Mihai, project assistant.
"There were many applications from individuals eager to participate in the Moldova Youth Forum. Unfortunately, we only had the capacity to accommodate 500 young people. The selection criteria focused on the activism and involvement of these young individuals in the social life of the Republic of Moldova," emphasizes Alexandru Demianenco, one of the forum's organizers.

Young people had the chance to engage with the Moldovan president during the panel discussion titled "Leadership for a Modern Moldova". In addition to this panel, other talks covered topics such as the future of education in the Republic of Moldova, regional risks and democratic resilience, as well as the economy and the digital future. The Moldova Youth Forum has now reached its fourth edition, with similar events having taken place in Chișinău, Comrat, and Bălți since its inception in 2022.
