Traffic restrictions in Chisinau on August 30, 31
Traffic will be suspended on Stefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard, specifically between Mitropolit Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pușkin streets in Chisinau. This suspension will begin on the evening of Saturday, August 30, at 6:00 p.m. and will last until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31. The Chisinau City Hall has announced this restriction due to the organization of the event "The Great National Dictation," which is held in honor of Romanian Language Day. This event is organized by the Ministry of Education and Research.
The trolleybus and bus routes will divert to nearby streets set by the authorities, and the tourist trolleybus will not run on August 30 and 31.
In addition, traffic on Columna Street between Pușkin and Metropolitan Bănulescu-Bodoni Streets will stop until September 1 at 05:00.
On August 31, further restrictions will apply. From 08:00 to 22:30, Alexandru cel Bun Street will close between Pușkin and Bănulescu-Bodoni Streets. From 16:00 to 23:50, traffic will also stop on Constantin Tănase Street and on Grigore Vieru Boulevard between Constantin Tănase and Ierusalim Streets, except for public transport.
