Imports accounted for over 78% of Energocom’s August energy purchases

Energocom purchased approximately 331.3 thousand MWh of electricity in August 2025, sourced from both domestic and imported origins, at a weighted average price of 121.17 euros per MWh.
According to the company's data, 78.33% of the total volume came from imports, while 21.67% was sourced from domestic production. A significant portion of the energy, specifically 61.25%, was purchased through bilateral contracts with suppliers and producers in Romania and Ukraine. The remaining 17.08% was acquired via the BRM and OPCOM trading platforms.
Energocom clarifies that these acquisition costs do not include taxes or additional expenses related to transportation, logistics, and capacity booking.
