Director of the European Department of the IMF is coming to the Republic of Moldova
Alfred Kammer, the director of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund, will pay a visit to Chisinau, between March 8-10. He will have meetings with President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Also, he will discuss with the ministers responsible for managing the economy and the energy sector and the governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armașu, about the challenges facing the Republic of Moldova. We remind that Alfred Kammer has been the director of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund since August 2020. In this capacity, he is monitoring the IMF's work in Europe. We remind you that from March 1 to 14, a mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Ruben Atoyan is in Chisinau. IMF experts discuss recent macroeconomic developments, assess prospects and risks for the economy, and will report on the progress achieved in implementing the actions agreed under the IMF-supported program.
