Defense Ministry: No Russian drone incursions into Moldova’s airspace last night

According to data from the Ministry of Defense, no Russian drones flew over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova last night. This information was confirmed for Teleradio-Moldova by Alla Diaconu, the head of the Strategic Communication Directorate of the General Staff of the National Army.
This morning, the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, announced that the authorities of the Republic of Moldova were alerted by Ukraine about a Russian military drone that had illegally entered Moldovan airspace during the night of September 2 to 3.
Before a government meeting, the official stated that an investigation into the incident was underway and emphasized that surveillance of Moldova's airspace is conducted in close collaboration with neighboring countries.
The Border Police also reported this morning that Ukrainian authorities had detected a Shahed drone near the village of Horodiște, in the Dondușeni district. The drone had lost contact with radar between Cupcini and Edineț.
Moldovan authorities began searching the area on September 3.
We remind you that since the start of the war against Ukraine, Moldovan airspace has been violated multiple times by Russian drones, with at least three incidents resulting in drone explosions on national territory.
Last night, Russia launched a significant missile and drone assault on Ukraine, leaving at least nine people injured. In response, Poland heightened the alert level of its radars and anti-aircraft systems and deployed military aircraft, while air raid sirens sounded for hours across various regions of Ukraine.
