The red brick building in the town of Fălești was constructed in 1890 and has been in disrepair for many years. Over the years, it has housed a mixed school for both girls and boys, as well as a music school. This building holds significant historical value for the locals and is listed in the register of state-protected monuments. It is set to be rehabilitated with funding from Europe.

Deputy head of the Directorate for Cross-Border Cooperation, Investment Attraction, and Construction, Lucia Buga, stated, "It will be a tourist center. We will also develop a tourist guide, and in addition to this, we will have a spacious, modern hall specifically designed for activities, fairs, and exhibitions."

The rehabilitation work on the building is expected to last two years, with an investment totaling 1.4 million euros. Another architectural gem in Fălești, the "Lazăr Dubinovschi" Museum of History and Ethnography, has also been restored with European support. In the newly renovated spaces of this museum, workshops focused on local traditions, such as carpet weaving and embroidery, are held.

Valentina Nigoiță, an employee of the museum, shared her enthusiasm: "It's beautiful; everything is new and well-arranged. Visitors come, workshops are held, and everyone enjoys it. Many people want to visit our museum to participate in various activities."

The museum underwent significant repairs from 2022 to 2023, with investments totaling 1.5 million lei.

"The museum was furnished with the necessary furniture for displaying and storing exhibits. The electrical system was completely overhauled, and the doors and windows were replaced in accordance with technological and architectural standards," says Alexandru Prodan, senior specialist at the General Directorate of Finance and Economy, Fălești District Council.

"Thanks to the renovation of the exhibition halls, we now have the opportunity to expand our exhibition space. Additionally, we have gained a much-needed storage area," notes Rodica Railean, director of the “Lazăr Dubinovschi” Museum.
