ELECTIONS 2025 // PL launches campaign; Romanian unity a strategic goal

The Liberal Party (PL) has officially launched its parliamentary campaign in town Ungheni. In its electoral program, the party advocates for the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union and supports the unity of the Romanian nation.

The Liberal Party has announced the launch of its campaign in Ungheni, a town located near the border with Romania. Members and supporters of the party proudly displayed the flags of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. The party is entering the elections with three main objectives: European integration, the pursuit of freedom, and the unity of the Romanian nation.

"For us, the Liberal Party, as a unionist party, the safest path to European integration is through union with Romania. Why? Because it brings us not only access to the European market, freedom, and prosperity, but also peace and security," stated PL president Mihai Ghimpu.

The Liberal Party has submitted a list of 58 candidates for deputy positions to the Central Electoral Commission. Among the top five candidates is former Minister of Education Corina Fusu.
