ELECTIONS 2025 // CEC begins printing ballots for overseas polling stations

The printing of ballots for polling stations abroad in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025, will commence on Friday, September 12, at the "Central Printing House" in Chisinau, according to the announcement made by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
The ballots will be distributed across 297 polling stations abroad, with the majority located in Italy (75 stations), followed by Germany (36), France (26), the United Kingdom (24), Romania (23), the United States (22), Spain (15), and Ireland (12), among others.
Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Moldova made public the addresses of the 301 polling stations that will be opened abroad for the parliamentary elections on September 28. Four of these stations are designated for the postal voting procedure. The envelopes containing the ballots have already been sent to voters in the ten countries that have opted for postal voting: the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
In total, 2,274 polling stations will be established both in the Republic of Moldova and abroad for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Of these, 1,961 will be organized within the electoral districts of the country, 12 will serve voters in localities on the left bank of the Nistru, and 301 will be set up for citizens living in the diaspora.
The parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova are scheduled for September 28, 2025, and will determine the composition of the 12th Parliament, comprising 101 deputies elected for a four-year term.
A total of 23 electoral competitors have registered for the legislative race, including 15 political parties, four electoral blocs, and four independent candidates.
