ARTE.tv is recognized as a platform for promoting artists.

“Alongside providing our audience with access to elite cinematographic productions, particularly European documentaries, it also offers our artists the opportunity to present their works at the highest level to a select audience,” says the Minister of Culture, Sergiu Prodan.

“The need for a platform that delivers culture to the masses is undeniable. Congratulations on this courageous initiative. In the Republic of Moldova, we have a wealth of art, but when it comes to culture, we often fall short,” says singer Cristina Scarlat.

On ARTE.tv, viewers can access a diverse range of multimedia content.

“This year, we have 400 productions, including documentaries and films from across Europe. For instance, we feature a cycle dedicated to Spanish cinema, various documentaries, and a portrait of President Zelensky. Our catalogue is highly varied, now available in Moldova for free, and it represents an excellent alternative to other well-known platforms—here, everything is free,” emphasises Katharina Kloss, Director of European Programs at ARTE.tv.

“We aimed to expand ARTE’s presence, especially in the Republic of Moldova. This initiative, driven by France, is financed by the French government to develop the ARTE application in Moldova,” explains the French ambassador to Chisinau, Dominique Waag.

The event concluded with the premiere screening of the first episode of the documentary series "DJ Mehdi: Made in France." It tells the story of a French producer and DJ who had a significant influence on the hip-hop and electronic music scenes.

“The film won awards for Best Documentary Series at Cannes last year, as well as the French Emmy and the French Grammy, among other distinctions. It is a privilege to present it outside of France, as it encompasses not only French musicians but also European culture,” notes director Thibaut de Longeville.
