Moldova: Cabinet of Ministers awards scholarships
Fifteen students have been awarded merit scholarships for outstanding academic performance. The list of recipients was approved on Wednesday by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Ten university students will be granted scholarships worth 3,860 lei, while five students from colleges and centres of excellence will receive 2,995 lei a month for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Candidates were nominated by the senates of their educational institutions and selected based on academic achievements, as well as their involvement in scientific, cultural and extracurricular activities.
The total financial support for the scholarships is over 530,000 lei.
Last year, presidential scholarships were increased from 1,845 lei to 3,690 lei for university students, and to 2,860 lei for students in vocational and technical education. This year, 65 applications were submitted for the President's Scholarship.
