CEC announces new polling station addresses for the Nistru left-bank voters

The Central Electoral Commission released the updated addresses of polling stations for voters in the localities on the left bank of the Nistru. These changes were made in response to a notification regarding significant security risks, including potential bomb threats and provocations on the day of voting.

According to the decision made by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on September 25, the addresses for polling stations were changed due to a notification from the General Inspectorate of Police. This notification highlighted significant security risks, including potential bomb threats and provocations on the day of voting.

In such situations, the involvement of specialized teams would be complicated, as their movement into the Security Zone requires approval from the Joint Control Commission. Obtaining this approval is practically impossible in a short timeframe, as explained by the electoral authority.

For voters on the left bank of the Nistru, 12 polling stations will be opened for the elections on Sunday, September 28. This decision was made by the CEC based on data from the State Register of Voters and voting patterns in the eastern districts during the last three elections.
