On the eve of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, Bassarabian students from Iași gathered in the Great Hall of the City Hall to discuss the role of young people in the electoral process and the significance of every vote. The conference included not only students but also representatives from local authorities and universities, delivering a clear message: young people are no longer just spectators; they are now active participants in driving change.

As students in Romania, each of us has the opportunity to express our values towards the country by voting. It is our responsibility to participate in elections and not to complain about the state of affairs in our country.

I encourage other students, young people, and all citizens of the Republic of Moldova to go out and vote informed and responsibly.

We gathered here at a conference with representatives from public institutions, Iași City Hall, and universities to discuss the role of young people in the parliamentary elections. Our aim is to inspire and encourage young people to vote on Sunday, as it is extremely important, emphasized Alina Cernenchi, president of ATRAG, Iași.

Academic representatives and local authorities in Iași have urged Bassarabian students to take on civic responsibility.

The public universities in Romania, particularly in Iași, have expressed a hopeful message that the upcoming vote will continue existing partnerships, foster development, create new opportunities, and further unite us within the European Union, stated Liviu-George Maha, Rector of "A.I. Cuza" University in Iași.

Many of these students are European citizens and residents of Romania, and they understand the benefits that being part of the European community offers both Romania and its member states. Therefore, my call was for them to engage in dialogue with their peers back home in Bassarabia and to encourage their participation in the elections, said Mihai Chirica, the mayor of Iași.
