UEFA U19 Futsal: Moldova suffer heavy 7-0 defeat to Ukraine in opener

The Republic of Moldova were beaten 7-0 by Ukraine in their opening match of the UEFA European Under-19 Futsal Championship. The tournament is taking place in Chișinău, running from 28 September to 5 October.

In the Group A match at Arena Chișinău, the side, coached by Ruslan Petrov, conceded seven goals without reply. Nazar Pershin scored twice, with Vladyslav Kamets, Artiom Klimchuk, Bohdan Tsiap, Rostyslav Rostkivskyi, and Artiom Malinovskyi also on the scoresheet for Ukraine.

Moldova faces Italy on Monday, 29 September, before playing Portugal on Wednesday, 1 October. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 18:00 BST.
