The Republic of Moldova reduced the consumption of natural gas by over 31% in February
The volume of natural gas consumption in February was 93.9 million cubic meters, which is about 31.4% less compared to the same period in 2022. According to a statement issued by the institution, compared to January 2023 this indicator decreased by 2.2 million cubic meters or by about 2.3%.
Household consumers, until February 28, 2023, have paid 92.7% of the invoiced amounts, which is 0.5% more compared to the same period last year. In the case of non-household consumers, the share of transfers was 93.5%, which is 3.6% less compared to the same period last year.
The enterprises in the energy and thermal sector in the country paid the bills in proportion to 50.2%, which is 49.5% less compared to the same period last year, reports Moldovagaz.
Moreover, more than 577 thousand people received compensation for the consumption of natural gas in February 2023, amounting to more than 552 million lei.
