Czech elections: Pro-Kremlin TikTok accounts spread disinformation

Hundreds of anonymous TikTok accounts are actively distributing pro-Kremlin narratives and supporting radical parties ahead of the Czech parliamentary elections, set for October 3–4.
This information was released by the Czech analyst group Online Risk Labs, which identified 286 such accounts.
“These accounts are not linked to a single political organisation but express support for multiple radical and extremist parties,” Online Risk Labs said in a statement.
Czech news portal Deník N reports the accounts are spreading anti-EU and anti-NATO content, justifying the war in Ukraine, and promoting right-wing populist parties such as SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy) and Stačilo! (Enough!).
The frontrunner in the election race is the opposition populist movement Action of Dissatisfied Citizens (ANO), which is expected to secure about 31% of the vote, polls suggest. Factors contributing to voter dissatisfaction include slow economic growth and high inflation. ANO's founder and leader, Andrej Babiš, criticizes the EU's "green economy" policy but does not openly oppose the continuation of aid to Ukraine.
The Czech ruling coalition declares full support for Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the country has received more than half a million Ukrainian refugees. Prague is also supplying weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
