A citizen, who was identified as a possible representative of a private military company from the Russian Federation, Wagner, tried to enter the Republic of Moldova in the last week, the Border Police announces. According to the cited source, the case was registered at the Chisinau International Airport. In total, for seven days, 182 foreign citizens, as well as 46 means of transport, were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova.

"The measures taken, based on the risk analysis and the information obtained jointly with the national authorities, including through the exchange of information with international partners, allowed the detection in the flow of passengers, at the state border crossing point Chisinau International Airport of a citizen who was identified as a possible representative of a private military company in the Russian Federation (Wagner). The citizen in question was not authorized to cross the state border, being returned by air to the starting state," the Border Police announced.

The Border Police states that in order to exclude security risks, in the context of the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova, but also of the war started by Russia against Ukraine, security protocols are applied at all state border crossing points, which implies the addition state border crossing control for travelers, especially for foreign citizens.

It should be noted that the Movement for the People, which also includes the "Sor" Party, led by the fugitive Ilan Şor, and PACE, led by the former deputy head of the IGP, Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, announced a protest action today, March 12, in the center of the capital. On Saturday, the law enforcement officers announced that the protesters of Sor would prepare the destabilization of public order and mass disorder today, during the anti-government demonstration. The police asked the organizers and participants to obey the legal requirements and not to admit actions that would endanger the life and health of people, as well as the security of the state.

We remind you that the president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, recently stated that Russia plans to involve subversives with military training, camouflaged in civilian clothes, to attack state institutions and take hostages, emphasizing that "through violent actions disguised as protests of such - the so-called opposition would be forced to change the power from Chisinau". Maia Sandu's evaluations were made public after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy conveyed to the 27 heads of state or government in the European Union that Ukraine had intercepted the plans of the Russian secret services to destroy the Republic of Moldova.
