Maia Sandu attends EPC Summit in Denmark on EU accession, economy, and regional peace
The European Political Community Summit, scheduled for October 1-2 in Copenhagen, Denmark, will focus on several key topics, including the advancement of Moldova's accession to the European Union, economic development, and regional peace and security. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will also be attending the meeting.
Maia Sandu will speak during the opening session of the European Political Community Summit. Additionally, bilateral and multilateral meetings with European leaders, as well as heads of state and government, are scheduled on the sidelines of the summit.
Denmark is hosting the summit and currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The European Political Community was initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron as a platform for dialogue and political cooperation among European Union member states and non-member countries. The first summit took place in Prague in October 2022, and the second was hosted by the Republic of Moldova in Bulboaca in June 2023.
