"Educator of the Year", "Teacher of the Year" and "Professor of the Year", awarded on October 4, at the Palace of the Republic

The most outstanding educators in the Republic of Moldova will receive the titles "Educator of the Year," "Teacher of the Year," and "Professor of the Year" in celebration of Teachers' Day, which occurs annually on October 5.
"Approximately 650 teachers and other employees of the education system will participate in a festive event organized by the Ministry of Education and Research at the Palace of the Republic, on October 4. During the event, the winners of the "Teacher of the Year 2025" contest will be announced. The event will end with an artistic program", announced on Wednesday, October 1, the Government Spokesperson, Daniel Vodă.
He emphasized that the Executive continues to invest in education through the "Investing in Educators" and "Investing in Teachers" programs, extended this year to support staff - psychologists and speech therapists.
At the same time, 6,000 teachers will benefit from free training in digital skills, and the "Be a Pro. Choose to be a Teacher" campaign aims to attract 2,050 students to pedagogical programs and distribute 500 graduates to schools.
In 2025, 1,000 mentors will begin their activity at the national level, while the "Learn in the Country" program promotes local universities, where the state has invested over 500 million lei in recent years.
The government also supports the development of the model school network, as well as measures to attract young teachers to rural areas and strengthen the prestige of the teaching profession.
"Teachers are those who, through work and dedication, educate new generations. On the eve of Teachers' Day, we send a message of gratitude to all teachers in the country", declared Daniel Vodă.
A total of 30,779 teachers work in the education system in the Republic of Moldova.
We remind you that last year, the Republican Contest "Educator of the Year" was held in three stages and had three categories of winners: "Educator of the Year", "Teacher of the Year", and "Professor of the Year".
Teachers from all over the country participated in the competition, and three winners were selected from each category.
The teachers who ranked first were awarded 50,000 lei and were awarded the title "Educator of the Year". The winners of second place received 25,000 lei and the Diploma of Honor from the Ministry of Education, and those in third place - 15,000 lei and the Diploma of Honor from the Ministry of Education.
