Strășeni apple cider vinegar is conquering the Romanian market

A small artisanal business is developping in Cojușna village, Strășeni district. Thanks to funding obtained through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), the company was equipped with modern machinery. Now, 100% organic apple cider vinegar is produced in larger quantities, and the launch of another local product is planned.
The manager of a company in Cojușna village, Strășeni district, Victoria Valeria Baciu, produces authentic vinegar through natural fermentation. The entrepreneur says up to 4,000 liters of artisanal vinegar are produced weekly. In an interview with Radio Moldova, she noted that her product has already established a name in the export market. Soon, the company plans to surprise customers with another product: flavored vinegar.
"This vinegar carries an emotion that is conveyed step by step. I developed a small artisanal business producing apple cider vinegar through double fermentation using biotechnology. We started the project with one employee, in whom I have great trust, together with my family, who contributed significantly to the business development, including the website and more," the entrepreneur said.
Victoria Valeria Baciu says she feels proud that her company exports its product to a major network in Romania. This summer, she received a grant of approximately 200,000 lei through the small producers support program managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). With these funds, she purchased a bottling and capping station and other modern equipment to facilitate production.
"I applied to ODA’s small entrepreneurs support program and received non-reimbursable funding through the EU4Moldova Local Communities program. It was a great experience; ODA was very responsive. I received 190,000 lei, which I invested in equipment. I recommend other entrepreneurs apply to ODA as well, because it provides significant support for business development. First and foremost, an entrepreneur must have courage and confidence in what they do. This is a very important criterion," Victoria Valeria Baciu said.
The entrepreneur notes that starting and growing a business in recent years has become much easier. Today, there are many opportunities for creative ideas to turn into profitable ventures.
