Romania, shaken by a new earthquake
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 occurred on Sunday, at 19:44 local time, in the seismic zone of Vrancea, Buzau county, according to the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP), quoted by Agerpres.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 140 km, near the following cities: 52 km southeast of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 57 km east of Brașov, 62 km northwest of Buzău, 66 km west of Focșani, 76 km north of Ploiesti.
In Romania, the strongest tectonic movement this year, with magnitude 5.7, happened on February 14, in Gorj county, at a depth of 6.3 kilometers. A day later, a 5.2-degree earthquake occurred in the same area, at a depth of 16 kilometers.
