Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova received approximately 98 million lei as compensation for electricity costs between January and August 2025, through the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA). Additionally, another 32 million lei was provided as compensation through AIPA. This initiative is part of the Government's Program aimed at compensating 50% of the increase in electricity tariffs, which is supported financially by the European Union.

According to data from the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, 1,085 economic agents have so far benefited from support, of which 566 through ODA, for a total of 2,516 applications paid in the amount of about 98 million lei, and 519 through the Agricultural Intervention and Payments Agency (AIPA), which processed 1,945 applications of over 32 million lei.

The compensation program remains active throughout 2025 and is targeted at enterprises in agriculture, forestry, fishing, and manufacturing, according to the CAEM-2 classification.

Entrepreneurs can submit applications 100% online, either through the EVO application or the MCabinet platform, where they can track the status of their application in real-time, from submission to approval and payment. To submit the application, the invoice identification data, the consumption location number (NLC) and the amount of energy consumed are required.

To facilitate the process, ODA has provided an explanatory video guide, available in the EVO application, which shows step-by-step how to complete the application. The compensation is transferred directly to the company's bank account, and the deadline for submission is 30 days from the date of invoice issuance, according to the cited source.
