Rescuers from Telenești and Călărași received modern emergency vehicles

The Emergency Situations Departments of Telenești and Călărași received two modern special vehicles from European partners in Austria and Switzerland.
The special vehicles have a tank capacity of 2,000 liters and are equipped with pumps and auxiliary intervention equipment.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), these fully equipped intervention vehicles are designed to meet the needs of emergency services. They will enhance the operational capacity for responding to fires and other emergency situations in the Telenești and Călărași districts, improving overall safety.
The IGSU emphasized, "Through the support provided to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies as part of long-term international partnerships, we are strengthening our intervention infrastructure. This will lead to a more efficient response in managing and mitigating the consequences of exceptional situations, especially in rural areas."
Since 2013, under a collaboration program between the General Inspectorate for Emergencies and volunteer firefighters from Austria, more than 80 special vehicles have been introduced to the Republic of Moldova. These vehicles are utilized daily in intervention and rescue missions by both IGSU subdivisions and volunteer rescue and fire stations across the country.
