ASEM, with one foot in the final of the Moldovan women's volleyball championship

The team of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) has one foot in the final of the national women's volleyball championship. In the first leg of the semi-finals, ASEM's team defeated Speranta Chisinau at home 3-0 in sets. It was 25:20, 25:12 and again 25:20 in favour of the home team.

"It was easy, predictable. We've played this team many times and it's always the same result. We have one wish - to take the title. We want to remain champions again this year. It's a bit more complicated than in previous years. We're down, but we have young girls with prospects." ASEM player Ana Nicolaev said after the match.

"It was an interesting match. There are some things we need to work on, but for the most part it worked out for us." said ASEM player Anastasia Sosnovschi.

"We need to be more united. We need to get along better, talk more on the court. In this match we didn't get along very well and that's why we lost." said Speranta player Valeria Gherman.

In the other semi-final, Dinamo-Gloria Tiraspol, the team that finished first in the regular season, defeated UTM-Politeh 3:0. It should be noted that two wins are required to qualify for the final.
