Possible explosive found in suspicious baggage at Chișinău “Eugen Doga” International Airport

A bag containing an explosive substance was discovered on the morning of October 17, at the Eugen Doga International Airport in Chisinau. According to the Border Police, passengers and airport employees were evacuated, and check-in procedures were temporarily suspended.
Specialized units from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including bomb disposal experts and anti-terror teams, responded to the scene to inspect suspicious luggage and the airport area.
Authorities have announced that some flights scheduled for today may be subject to changes, and they recommend that passengers check the airport's online panel for updates.
"We appreciate your understanding and urge you to remain calm," stated the Border Police, adding that they will provide more details as the investigation progresses.
