Moldova’s foreign minister represents the country at the EU foreign ministers’ meeting.

The main topics of discussion at the meeting of Foreign Affairs Ministers will be the security and connectivity of Europe. This meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 20, in Luxembourg and is organized under the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union. The Republic of Moldova will be represented by acting Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, who also serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau, Mihai Popșoi was invited to the event by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jozef Síkela.
The meeting is divided into two thematic sessions: one dedicated to security, which will bring together the states of the Black Sea region and the member states of the European Union, and the other dedicated to connectivity, which will also include the countries of Central Asia.
On the sidelines of the event, Mihai Popșoi will have a bilateral meeting with the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and officials to address topics related to the European Union's foreign and security policy, in the context of the Republic of Moldova's accession process to the EU.
At the same time, the head of Moldovan diplomacy will hold bilateral discussions with counterparts from European Union member states, as well as with partners outside the community space, to strengthen foreign relations and political support for the Republic of Moldova on its European path.
