Grants of up to one million dollars for livestock farmers: 4th AGGRI funding call

Livestock farmers can submit applications for the fourth call for grants under the World Bank-funded Agricultural Governance, Growth and Resilience (AGGRI) Project starting Monday, October 20. The call is open until December 31 and is dedicated to supporting cattle, sheep and goat farms, oriented towards milk, meat or mixed production.
Through these grants, farmers can modernize their livestock infrastructure, expand production capacities and adopt sustainable agricultural practices. The maximum value of a grant is one million dollars, and the funding files will be submitted to the territorial offices of the Agricultural Intervention and Payments Agency (AIPA). The applicant is to co-finance at least half of the value of the investment project.
Since the launch of the AGGRI program, 16 funding projects have been approved, which aimed at modernizing cattle farms, creating new farms and improving animal welfare conditions.
By launching the 4th call, the AGGRI Project aims to expand support to a larger number of farmers and contribute to increasing the resilience of the livestock sector in the face of economic and climate challenges. At the same time, the program will continue to promote sustainable investments, compliance with environmental standards, energy efficiency and animal welfare.
The applicant guide and the necessary forms can be consulted on the websites www.aipa.gov.md and www.capmu.md.
Also, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry announces that, during the period October 13–17, applications for financial support in the total amount of 4.5 million lei from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment, through various subsidy mechanisms, were authorized for payment. Of the mentioned amount, 1.7 million lei are subsidies granted per head of animal, and 2.7 million lei – subsidies granted per kilogram of milk delivered.
