At the end of the month, the Republic of Moldova may have a new Government. This announcement was made by acting Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea during the PE FAȚĂ show on Moldova1 TV. He had a meeting with Alexandru Munteanu, the candidate proposed by President Maia Sandu for the position of Prime Minister. The two discussed various infrastructure projects.

"Today I had a meeting at 10:00 with Mr. Alexandru. We discussed the projects that started in 2025, which are to be completed. It's about the European Village-2, it's about the project related to local roads, which started in an absolute premiere and will continue with the European Village-3, the 576 projects, the construction of local roads in villages, 220 are being repaired. Obviously, we talked about the projects related to the European Court, there are 476 projects, after which we talk about the railways and railway development projects, so we had a one-hour discussion, about the projects that are to be continued and implemented in the segment of the Ministry of Infrastructure. - So, will you be part of the future Executive? - Most likely, yes", declared Bolea.

Listing the priorities of the future Executive, the Deputy Prime Minister hinted that it will take office on one of the days of October 27, 30 or 31.

"The zero priority is the development of the economy, certainly, because all the reforms that are to be made by the Government, starting from, I don't know, October 27, 30 or 31, are about the well-being of the people, the increase in pensions, the increase in salaries for public sector employees, about the construction of roads, the continuation of the process of developing living conditions for citizens", he said.

Asked if Alexandru Munteanu is the right person to fulfill these needs, Bolea answered simply - "Yes", without justifying his answer. Instead, he specified that he learned about him from the press.

"Mrs. Maia Sandu was the one who identified this person, she called him, and I think it is very good in a democratic state for everyone to find out at the same time, from the press, regardless of the position they hold", the deputy prime minister pointed out.

At the same time, he stressed that "most likely there will be changes (ed. note - in the government structure), but next Mr. Alexandru, when he is nominated as a candidate for the position of prime minister, will come out and say the entire list of the cabinet of ministers."

We recall that, on October 16, President Maia Sandu announced that she had contacted Alexandru Munteanu and convinced him to accept the position of prime minister. Political commentators from Chisinau noted that it is "an unexpected candidacy, but with potential".

The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), which has access to the new Parliament as part of the "Patriotic" Bloc (BEP), announced that it will not support a government led by Alexandru Munteanu. Our Party, which has access to the new Parliament with six mandates, called for "real, not formal, consultations" in the process of forming the new Government.
