The Strategic Dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the USA was resumed in 2022 after a five-year break. At the last meeting, held last April in Washington, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu emphasized the importance of giving a concrete dimension to Moldovan-American relations. The top officials from the Republic of Moldova and the USA reaffirmed the importance of a consistent and in-depth dialogue and partnership in order to promote democracy, prosperity and security of the Republic of Moldova as the reform agenda and the process of accession to the European Union advance.

Romania and the USA have pledged to support the Republic of Moldova in the context of Russia's destabilizing actions, according to the Joint Statement adopted yesterday in Bucharest within the eighth round of the Romania-USA Strategic Dialogue.

Children with severe disabilities in our country will benefit from a new support package developed with the help of the development partners of the Republic of Moldova. According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, over 5,500 families will benefit from this program, each of whom will receive a one-off allowance of 3,000 lei. The measure comes as essential support for these families, underlining the authorities' commitment to improving the living conditions of people with disabilities. However, for some families this amount is not enough to cover the costs of caring for children with disabilities.
