Moldova: Maia Sandu starts Prime Minister candidate talks

Moldovan President Maia Sandu is starting consultations to name a new candidate for Prime Minister. She has invited parliamentary factions and groups to the talks.

The meetings will be held at the Presidency in the capital, Chisinau, on Thursday, 23 October, and Friday, 24 October.

Thursday, 23 October

13:00 (1pm) – "Democracy at Home" Political Party 14:00 (2pm) – "Our Party" Political Party 15:00 (3pm) – The Alternative political bloc 16:00 (4pm) – Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova 17:00 (5pm) – Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova

Friday, 24 October

10:00 (10am) – Party of Action and Solidarity

The talks are being held in line with the constitution of the Republic of Moldova. Their aim is to designate a candidate for Prime Minister and form a new government.

Fireworks can only be used under strict regulations, which include a prohibition on their use between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. These clarifications were announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Daniella Misail-Nichitin, following the Government meeting on Thursday, December 4.
