Rutte: Trump is 'only person' who can end Ukraine war ahead of Washington talks

Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte is in Washington for talks with US President Donald Trump.
Mr Rutte said he was convinced the US President was the only person who could end Russian aggression against Ukraine.
“We will continue to discuss how Nato members can help achieve his goal of bringing full peace to Ukraine. We all hope for this following his recent success in Gaza. I have total confidence in President Trump, and he is the only person who can achieve this. He wants to end the bloodshed and the killing, and he knows how important it is.”
The Nato Secretary General’s visit comes amid delays to a planned meeting between Mr Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest.
US media, citing sources within the Trump administration, has reported that the Budapest talks have either been suspended or postponed.
Ukraine hopes that if Mr Putin does not make concessions, Donald Trump will resume support for Kyiv and approve the sale of US-made Tomahawk cruise missiles to the country.
Political and military support for Ukraine will also be discussed on Friday at a meeting of the so-called 'Coalition of the Willing' in London, co-chaired by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron.
