Chief Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has three deputies: CSP approved the appointments

The Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) has approved the appointment of three prosecutors as deputy chief prosecutors of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (APO). The positions have been assigned to Victor Muntean, Ina Frunză-Bargan, and Ion Pripa, as proposed by the chief prosecutor of the APO, Marcel Dumbrăvan.

The Deputy Chief Prosecutors are appointed without competition. At the CSP meeting on October 24, Marcel Dumbravan emphasized that, when selecting the candidates, he took into account "professional experience, team spirit and organizational capabilities in planning and conducting criminal prosecution actions and special investigative measures".

Ion Pripa will be responsible for the managerial activity of the Judicial and Analytical Directorate within the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. Ina Frunză-Bargan will manage the organisational activity of the PA Criminal Investigation Directorate No. 1, and Victor Muntean will be responsible for the managerial activity of the PA Criminal Investigation Directorate No. 2.

Who are the new Deputy Chief Prosecutors of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office:


Ion Pripa has over 19 years of experience as a prosecutor. He was appointed as a prosecutor at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Nord Service, in April 2008. Previously, in 2005-2006, he served as an interim prosecutor at the Drochia District Prosecutor's Office, and in 2006-2008, he served as a prosecutor at the Drochia District Prosecutor's Office.

Pripa also exercised the duties of delegated prosecutor in the General Prosecutor's Office, for special missions. In January 2019, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office, he was awarded the "Eminent of the Prosecutor's Office" Badge.

His name was mentioned in the context of decisions regarding the recognition of another prosecutor as a suspect in a file for the disclosure of criminal prosecution data. This is the ordinance issued in March 2024, regarding Victoria Furtună, later dismissed from the prosecutor's office.


Ina Frunză-Bargan has over 20 years of experience in the prosecution service. She worked as a prosecutor in the General Prosecutor's Office and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

Following the attestation in February 2015, she was awarded the rank of third-rank legal advisor. In January 2018, she was awarded the "Eminent of the Prosecutor's Office" Badge, and in January 2025, on the occasion of the XXXIII anniversary of the formation of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Moldova, she was awarded the "For Impeccable Service" Medal.

In December 2021, the Superior Council of Prosecutors appointed her as a prosecutor in the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to examine the allegedly illegal actions of the then acting Prosecutor General, Dumitru Robu.


Victor Muntean has over 22 years of experience as a prosecutor. He was appointed as a prosecutor at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office by the order of the Prosecutor General dated July 5, 2007. He was awarded the Medal "For Impeccable Service", Class II, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Independence Day, on August 27, 2019.

Since November 2024, he has been acting as Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. Previously, he was an acting investigator and prosecutor in the Military Prosecutor's Office of Balti, as well as a prosecutor in the Military Prosecutor's Office of Chisinau.
