Spartanii-Sportul Selemet stun CSF Bălți 2-0
A surprising result emerged in the Moldova National Football Championship. Spartanii-Sportul Selemet secured a stunning 2-0 victory over CSF Bălți in a thrilling match of the 17th stage.
The goals came early for Spartanii. Nigerian midfielder Ganiu Olaniyan opened the scoring as early as the 3rd minute. The team's second goal was netted by Mihail Sava in the 16th minute.
Following this round of Divizia Națională Results, Spartanii-Sportul Selemet moved to 7th place in the standings, while CSF Bălți remains 5th.
In another key fixture of the 17th stage, Dacia-Buiucani Chișinău forced a 2-2 draw against Zimbru Chișinău.
Denis Kozlovskii scored for the "Yellow-Greens" (Zimbru) in the 30th minute. Dacia-Buiucani equalized through Dumitru Straistaru at the start of the second half. Oleksii Șebetun restored Zimbru's lead, but an 86th-minute goal from Ștefan Efros rescued a point for his team.
Zimbru is currently 2nd in the league table with 35 points. Leaders Sheriff Tiraspol have 38 points but hold a game in hand. Dacia-Buiucani Chișinău is ranked 6th.
