Maia Sandu awards special ranks to CNA chiefs

The heads of the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) were conferred the special ranks of general-lieutenant and general-major by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

According to a presidential decree signed by the head of state, CNA Director Alexandr Pînzaru was granted the special rank of general-lieutenant. His deputy director at the Moldova anti-corruption center, Alexandru Savca, was conferred the special rank of general-major.

Separately, the "Civic Merit" Medal was conferred upon writers Nicolae Popa and Victor Prohin. This recognition honors their outstanding merits in the development of literature, remarkable creative successes, and contribution to the promotion of national values. These literary awards follow the announcement of the CNA promotions.

The "Mihai Eminescu" Medal was also awarded to writers Grigore Chiperi, Ion Găină, and Petru Popa. The same honor was also bestowed upon literary critic Lucia Țurcanu, as well as Romanian writers Eugen Uricaru and Lucian Vasiliu.
